Castillo de Feliciana Woodinville is looking for a tasting room associate with leadership qualities! The Tasting Room Associate position is part-time 21 -30 hours per week and must be available to work Friday – Sunday, evenings and events. 

Tasting Room Associate
Summary:
The primary focus of the tasting room associate is to share the Castillo de Feliciana story and wine knowledge with guests. Tasting room associates are responsible for creating a positive experience for every guest. Teamwork, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic along with a passion for wine and people are vital for success. Tasting room associates are the first point of contact for all guests. They are ambassadors of the Castillo de Feliciana brand and are expected to uphold the customer service ideals of our company. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:
•  Working weekends and evenings
•  Providing information to the customer by greeting, directing and answering questions regarding our wines, merchandise, history and facility
•  Serving samples of wine along with appropriate information concerning the wines to guests in individual and group settings
•  Leading by example
•  Stocking wines in retail area
•  Handling routine purchase transactions, including operating cash registers and accounting for daily sales
•  Performing facility housekeeping to include tasting room, restroom and patio
•  Assisting guests in carrying out purchases as required
•  Expanding wine education and knowledge
•  Finding work to do when slow
•  Additional duties and projects as assigned
•  Help with special winery events as needed
•  Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene and health for safety
•  Prepare cash drawers for daily sales


Job Specifications:
•  Class 12 pourer permit
•  Food handlers permit
•  Valid driver’s license
•  Must be 21 years of age
•  Knowledge of wines and wine production
•  Proficient on the computer – familiar with POS systems
•  Has customer service experience and a reputation for providing outstanding service to guests
•  Can handle multiple tasks at once
•  Professional appearance and demeanor
•  Applicant is able to lead by example
•  Applicant is self-motivated – especially under pressure
•  Communicates professionally in person and on the phone
•  Highly accurate, organized and detail oriented with strong multitasking and time management skills
•  Ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately
•  Ability to work weekends and holidays as well as flexibility in scheduling to ensure business staffing needs are met
•  Ability to move and lift 35 – 50 lbs
•  Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Compensation:
Hourly wages plus tips and bonus program
