Sr Manager of Sales Communications (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Lead the responsible development and effective delivery of SMWE sales communications intended for the sales team and trade from all departments.

Essential Functions:
•  Develop and assist in the development of quality communication documents regarding programs, policies, procedures, and other essential information relative to sales dept. and the trade. Work with other SMWE groups to ensure quality and accuracy of all written communication to help ensure understanding of our plans, programs and procedures by key internal and external stakeholders.
•  Determine and direct the distribution of sales communications using the most effective and efficient means available. Direct staff and external vendors on specific delivery requirements for each communication release to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
•  Oversee the approval of communications released to the Sales Dept. and trade. Facilitate and conduct ad-hoc review and release planning sessions with key personnel to ensure all communications released comply with SMWE policies and positions.
•  Manage and develop Sales communication delivery infrastructure. Interact with communications staff and IT teams to develop and maintain and improve communication delivery infrastructure to increase effectiveness of released information.
•  Develop the annual communications cadence calendar in collaboration with Sales, Communications, Brand Management and Trade Marketing
•  Support the creation of value added sales brochures and reference guides. Develop and propose solutions to communication challenges and lead cross functional project teams in the implementation of approved solutions to increase selling time and trade customer relationships.
•  Create a central depository for all HQ Depts. to funnel sales related information
•  Create and maintain an information source center for Sales to access all related information in a catalog format for ease while in the field.
•  Maintains administrative workflow by studying methods; implementing processes; developing sales communication procedures

Working Conditions:
•  Primarily working in an office environment

Physical Requirements:
•  Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting for extended periods of time and operating office equipment

Qualifications:
•  Excellent organization skills, multi-tasking, and project management skills required, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities essential, with minimal errors.
•  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to succinctly and accurately present information to sales
•  Extensive Sales experience or equivalent, including detailed understanding of SMWE organization and position roles and responsibilities, programs, policies, and positions on internal/external issues to help ensure all communications are developed in-line with the unique needs and requirements of the intended audience.
•  Extensive knowledge of SMWE computer systems and applications is required to ensure that all communications regarding these systems are developed accurately and delivered using the most efficient means available.
•  Ability and desire to interact with Senior Sales Managers, and department heads.
•  Ability to manage tasks and to exercise independent judgment without supervision required, work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
•  Newsletter writing experience a plus
•  Four year college degree (communications discipline) or equivalent work experience including project management and ad hoc reporting
•  Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with clients, management, peers, and subordinates
•  Must be a person of high integrity, commitment and possess a strong work ethic
•  Ability to build strong relationships, initiate action, adjust to change are key competencies of this role
•  Team player with recognized collaboration and problem solving capabilities
•  Organizational Astuteness, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Reporting Skills, Client Relationships, Supports Innovation, Developing Standards, Administrative Writing Skills 
•  The incumbent must be able to withstand the physical pressure of sitting, standing, and walking.
•  The incumbent must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office software applications, Adobe Acrobat application.
•  Travel to Sales meetings and vendor offices are required.
•  History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
