Production Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Direct workflow and job assignments of bottling personnel. Responsibilities to include processing, packaging and production equipment for Woodinville Bottling. Assist in supervision of maintenance, warehouse and production personnel as needed.

Essential Functions:

•  Supervise and coordinate bottling line operation, establishing priorities and assignment of personnel to achieve production goals

•  Conduct on-going assessments of quality control and operational procedures

•  Develop line operation procedures

•  Ensure adherence to bottling schedule

•  Ensure packaging standards meet established guidelines

•  Oversee equipment and line sanitation requirements

•  Responsible for safe operation of production line in accordance with safety guidelines and quality control standards

•  Ensure proper operation and care of equipment, monitoring and reporting production

•  Responsible for the training, development, counseling, safety and disciple of assigned staff

•  Inventory management, including maintenance of raw materials in JDE, staging of packaging material and control packaging material inventory, and coordination of annual finished and packaging goods inventory

•  Maintain fiscal responsibility for the production process

•  Communicate effectively to ensure on-going, productive inter-departmental partnerships 

•  Assist in supervision of warehouse work flow to include truck volume, warehouse capacity and shipping /receiving activities. 

•  Assist with supervision and direction of maintenance personnel. 

•  Responsible for Direction and Supervision of Production Specialist.

Working Conditions:

•  Production line environment with use of hearing and eye protection required

•  Damp environment with variable seasonal temperatures ranging from 40 – 75 degrees Fahrenheit

•  Concrete walking/standing surfaces

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. intermittently.

•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs

Qualifications:

•  Four year degree in a technical or science related field preferred

•  Three (3) years’ experience in a high speed production packaging or manufacturing environment, beverage industry preferred

•  Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience

•  Mechanical aptitude requiring knowledge and experience in maintenance and operation experience with high speed production packaging equipment

•  Ability to balance multiple production and maintenance priorities

•  Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

•  Computer skills with MS Office at an intermediate level

•  History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
