Associate Marketing Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Associate Marketing Manager will have a leadership role in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and activities to support both long term and short term goals for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ Paterson Brand Portfolio with primary responsibility for Red Diamond and provide support on 14 Hands and Motto and other brands as assigned.
Essential Functions:
•  Develop, manage and execute the annual brand plans and long term plans for Red Diamond, and support the development and execution of 14 Hands and Motto.
•  Lead cross functional brand teams, interfacing with sales, trade marketing, communications, creative services, compliance, finance, accounting, demand planning, purchasing and customer service.
•  Facilitate the timely completion of projects by working with cross-functional teams to address , inventory management, supply/demand planning, packaging needs, direct-to-consumer initiatives, 
•  Manage promotional and event agencies for Red Diamond
•  Create and communicate timely brand performance data to effectively manage the business.
•  Develop selling materials and programs that increase distribution and sell-through
•  Develop and execute competitively superior packaging
•  Analyze sales, market and consumer data to track development and to ensure optimal pricing and distribution
•  Manage budgets to maximize the effectiveness of Marketing spending and to achieve the portfolio profit objectives.
•  Work closely with all disciplines of SMWE to build a strong partnership relationship based on effective communication and shared vision.
•  Be a brand champion and ambassador to both internal and external audiences.

•  Corporate office environment
Physical Requirements:
•  Ability to travel 15%-20% to meet domestic business needs
•  Available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings as required by events and business travel.
•  Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (or equivalent work experience)
•  5+ years brand marketing experience
•  3+ years wine industry experience preferred
•  Outstanding communication skills, including formal presentations and one-on-one communication
•  Strategic planning and P&L management experience
•  Ability to create strong cross-functional teams and garner support for important initiatives
•  Program and project management skills, including the ability to take multiple projects from concept through execution, accompanied by the ability to prioritize projects
•  High level of creativity, both with problem-solving and program development
•  Strong leadership ability, ranging from the ability to successfully lead cross-functional project teams, motivate sales force and inspire confidence among top management in proposed programs and business solutions
•  Excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
•  High level of proficiency with MS Office
•  History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
