Carlisle Winery is a small, family owned winery located in Windsor, CA, producing 9,000 to 10,000 cases of eclectic white wines, old vine Zinfandels, & Rhone varieties sourced from a wide range of historic vineyards throughout California. 

We are currently looking for an experienced & highly detail-oriented Cellar Master to join our winemaking team. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to making high quality wines, the ability to work independently, and must demonstrate a broad range of wine production skills.

Requirements:
*A minimum of 2 years of winery production experience.
*The ability to perform demanding physical work for potentially long hours.
*The ability to lift 55 pounds.
*Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
*Strong forklift skills & proficiency.
*Excellent interpersonal skills, & comfort with managing seasonal workers at harvest.
*Mechanical aptitude & the capacity to “trouble shoot”.
*A strong knowledge of winery sanitation procedures.
*Spanish communication skills a plus.
*Vineyard experience a plus.

Duties:
*Assist winemaker with all standard winery production operations (racking, blending, barrel maintenance, topping, additions & fining, etc.).
*Coordination of the activities of 3 harvest interns, including training & supervising.
*Participation in running the crush pad during harvest.
*Performance of all standard harvest operations (fruit sorting, pump overs, punch downs, nutrient/yeast additions, press operation, barrel downs, sanitation, etc.).
*Assistance with bottling (mobile line).
*Maintenance of winery records & inventories.
*Take primary responsibility for winery sanitation & organization.
*Help in managing 20 acre winery property & associated buildings, mechanical functions & equipment.
*Participation in winery events & off-site tastings.
