Willakenzie Estate, premium Pinot Noir producer in Oregon, is looking for harvest interns for our 2013 vintage. The positions require at least one previous vintage of experience in a winery (preferably with Pinot Noir) and a passion for winemaking as well as the stamina to withstand long hours of manual labor for many days in a row. We are looking for team players with great attention to detail who understand and are comfortable with the basics of winery operations.
The position as a harvest intern will run from mid-to-late September through end of November (start and end TBD). Tasks in the winery will include (but are not limited to): Vineyard sampling, fruit hand-sorting, crushing, pump-over and punch-down, pressing, tank racking, barreling, and maintaining the facility clean and organized. Experience on a forklift is a must. The ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and spend hours at a time on your feet is required.
Non-US citizens are responsible for acquiring a J-1 visa and paying for travel costs.
