Standard Beverage Corporation is a family-owned wine, spirits, and beer distributor with offices in Wichita, Lawrence and Lenexa, Kansas. We are currently looking for energetic, cheerful and responsible sales professionals to join our wine sales team in the Wichita Market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop positive relationships with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
  • Adhere to current route scheduled calls, as well as seek out and create new customer leads.
  • Attain distribution of new and existing products, as well as, continued emphasis of current brands in the areas of sizes and brand extension.
  • Sell, Price, Position and Maintain company products.
  • Identify locations, sell and build displays of company products
  •  Keep customers current on changes in pricing, including start/return/end of sales.
  •  Prepare reports, which include product distribution and positioning, display tracking, target accounts for specific products.
  •  Handle problems in a timely manner and alert Management to any possible issues.
  • Strive to continually overtake the competition on every level, individually and as a team with other members of the division/company.
  • Physical exertion will be necessary to achieve desired levels of account management.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the foregoing specified requirements may be considered for substitution.
  •  Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to speak before large audiences both internally and externally.
  •  Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of wine, wine terms, and growing techniques helpful.
  •  Passion for wine and the ability to continuously learn new brands and represent effectively to customers.
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and possess a strong work ethic.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Valid Driver’s License • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment • Wine certification as recognized by qualification by one or more industry organizations (e.g. Court of Master Sommeliers, Society of Wine Educators, Wine and Spirit Trust)
