David Bowler is looking for a representative to take over an existing territory that is currently generating in excess of 1.5 million dollars in sales annually and take it to the next level with our growing portfolio of high quality, family owned wineries from around the world. Our passion is wine, and we are looking for someone with the same passion.
This position will be based in and encompass Westchester County in New York.
Successful candidates must live in this territory, and have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the wine and spirits industry as a sales rep for a wholesale wine distributor, retailer or supplier. You must have strong selling, organizational, and communication skills and exceptional wine knowledge. You must also have a reliable car, a NY driver’s license, and be a NY resident.
The Job and Responsibilities:
Forming relationships and building distribution in both on and off premise accounts throughout the assigned territory.
Maintaining strong relationships with established customers, while growing incremental placements.
Cold calling in both on and off premise accounts to establish relationships and further market penetration.
Provide exemplary sales and ongoing customer service for all accounts, in addition to supporting accounts with wine tastings, dinners, events, etc…
Attend monthly sales meetings, annual portfolio tastings, and other company events.
Compensation:
7% Commission on sales, 100% of medical and dental premium coverage provided for the employee or 60% of family coverage after 2 months of continued employment, 401k with company match, generous vacation policy and positive work environment
