Learning & Development Director (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Breakthru Beverage New Jersey, a leading distributor in the wine and spirits industry is looking for a Learning and Development Director based out of our West Caldwell, NJ office. As a L&D Director you will be responsible for the effective coordination, facilitation and evaluation of training programs for all state employees to ensure best in class execution.

Expectations:

•  Lead, facilitate and evalutate training programs.

•  Design and build modules that will increase Functional, Leadership and Brand/Category capabilities.

•  Work closely with Director of Human Resources to orientate, develop and retain best talent possible.

•  Work with management team to drive company training programs and ensure they are implemented and conducted throughout organization.

•  Conduct frequent one-on-one Field Training sessions with employees in the market place.

•  Conduct quarterly round tables with Sales Management to provide feedback and brainstorm best practices.

•  Confer with executive management team and all levels of employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training.

Qualifications:

•  Live and demonstrate the Breakthru ways of Working (values).

•  Live and demonstrate the functional and leadership training capabilities.

•  Strong sales background with solid understanding of company selling procedures.

•  Superior leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be very comfortable presenting to an audience of Senior Management

•  Solid organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.

•  Ability to interact with people at various corporate levels.

•  Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written.

•  Ability to seek out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive.

•  4 year college degree or equivalent experience

•  4+ years training experience in consumer package goods or similar industry

•  4+ years experience in Sales Management (DM,SM, Director level)Superior wine knowledge. 

*Must have obtained WSET Level 3 Award and/or Diploma

•  Ability to present positive communication, faciliation and coaching skills

•  Superior coaching skills with knowledge of wine and spirit sales in both one premise and off premise environments.

•  Proficient in Microsoft Office

•  Must hold valid driver’s license
