2012 Harvest intern position available at Holloran Vineyard Wines

 Candidates should have a passion for wine, acute attention to detail, and a positive attitude.  We are a small winery where interns will directly participate in all facets of the winemaking process while working closely with the winemaker.  Candidates are willing to work long hours performing manual labor in a challenging work environment.  Prior experience and tractor/forklift skills are a plus but not necessary.

 Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Crush pad and sorting line operations
  • Cap management – punch-downs
  • Barrel activities (racking, filling, topping)
  • Pressing
  • Bottling
  • Monitoring fermentations
  • Additions to wines/must
  • Winery and equipment sanitation
  • Complying with safety requirements

Commensurate with experience, between $2,500 & $3,000 for one month. We work mostly 7 days/week during harvest starting early October.
