The Winebow Group a global leader of fine wine and spirits, with offices in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia is seeking a qualified professional with a proven track record to Join on Dc Sales Team. Experience in a Sales Manager Role, or in a Wine Industry Environment Required.
JOB SUMMARY
This individual will oversee all territory management responsibilities including supervision of the Sales Consultants in their assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develops an effective marketing and sales strategic plan in order to maximize wine distribution within an established or growing customer base.
2. Analyzes current markets identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
3. Works in the market with Wine Consultants; provides suggestions on strategies to increase business.
4. Provides educational programs, materials and services to the Wine Consultants.
5. Conducts tastings, attends dinners and participates in trade shows as necessary.
6. Works, when necessary, with the accounting department to resolve any billing issues within their designated territory.
7. Responsible for staffing, staffing planning, conducting performance appraisals on direct reports, budgeting, ensuring compliance with training requirements, developing direct reports and controlling expenditures.
8. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
9. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
