Harvest Worker/Intern (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Tamarack Cellars in Walla Walla has been making premium wines in the valley since 1998. Our annual production of 30,000 cases are distributed throughout the entire United States. We produce wines from such vineyards as Ciel du Cheval, Bacchus, Dionysus, Tapteil, Seven Hills, Summit View, and several others. 
We are seeking dedicated interns for the 2017 harvest. Interns will take part in all aspects of the winemaking process and answer directly to the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker. School tasks and knowledge requirements will be met both in the lab and cellar.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grape receiving
- Must/ wine movements
- Additions
- Cap management
- Sorting
- Barrel filling/ emptying/ topping/ racking
- Sanitation- tanks, barrels, equipment
- Other tasks as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License
-Must be able to work 5-7 days a week for 8-14 hours
- Basic cellar skills; harvest experience a plus
- The ability to work in a team or independently
- Ability to work in various temperatures
- Ability to perform the necessary physical labor
- Must be a team player
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to understand and comply with any and all safety requirements
