Job Description
Like the wine industry? Like the food industry? Enjoy entertaining people and are extremely organized? How about sales and marketing? You will never be bored but need to be passionate and very organized. If so, you may be the right fit for Hand of God Wines! We are looking for part Tasting Room Manager and part product manager overseeing our wine operations including distribution and compliance.
We run a small and very cool event rental space which is our tasting room in the heart of South Lake Union (www.thevude.com). We're a small company which means everyone steps up to get the job done when necessary.
Wine: (we are looking for candidates with experience in food and wine and even better running a tasting room or in distribution)
Promote Tasting Room -- We need someone who will find creative ways to get folks in the door to taste our award winning wine. Social media experience is a big plus!
Facilitate Tastings -- Convert tasting room visits to bottle purchases and club memberships. This means excellent product knowledge and sales skills.
Distribution -- Serve as winery's main point of contact with local wholesale customers (restaurants and retailers). Periodically visit accounts, take orders and deliver product.
Inventory -- Manage wine inventory, track sales and samples.
Administrative:
Marketing -- We host our own monthly events with various collaborators and we need someone to lead marketing efforts for these events. This includes Constant Contact Emails, Social Media, creating and posting flyers and working with collaborators to promote. So someone needs to be comfortable in doing outreach and selling.
Office Management- Open, sort and scan mail. Work with accountants to create invoice and pay bills. Order office supplies as needed. Keep office and event space clean and organized.
Bonus if you have good design capabilities and can help us create and organize our collateral materials.
There are some evening and weekend hours due to events occurring during these times.
This position is very detail oriented, but there is room for growth.
We are looking for someone who has some actual work experience and is not just out of college this year. It would be great if you have some actual serving/restaurant experience as well.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of working experience and industry experience a big bonus.
