An established, family-owned, medium-sized wine and spirits importer and distributor is looking for a full time Marketing Coordinator to fill an exciting and challenging new role in our New York City office. This position will report to the Sales Manager and will supervise one marketing intern.
The ideal candidate will be very social, organized, and focused with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong analytical skills are required in order to understand consumer trends and strategically plan for future needs. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create and produce marketing and promotional materials for the sales team
- Assist Sales Manager in planning for future marketing programs and needs
- Be the company’s point of contact for press, customer, and supplier public relations
- Write press releases, announcements, newsletters
- Manage sales history, customer, and supplier databases
- Marketing presentations
- Event coordination
- Represent company in trade events
- Website management
- Create and implement social media marketing strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a closely related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing role
- Experience in and/or knowledge of wine and spirits industry
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Publisher
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Must have excellent writing and proof-reading skills
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
- Occasional flexible schedule required for special events
This position is full time with a fixed salary of $40,000 - $45,000, annual bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 401k plan, and vacation.
