Clos LaChance is a family-owned winery located approximately 20 miles south of the Silicon Valley in California’s Northern Central Coast. Responsibilities Include:
-Verify opening balances for the month ended prior to employment date
-Maintain accounts and records for the following:
--Accounts Receivable
---Billing and collections
---Credit review of new customers
---Past due accounts analysis
--Accounts Payable
---Obtain approval for payment
---Account description and number
---Up-keeping of accurate w-9’s on file for 1099 vendor eligibility
---Issuance of annual 1099’s
-Cash control
--Daily bank deposits
--Tasting room sales
-Inventory control
--WIP
--Finished goods
--Merchandise
-Payroll
--Weekly payroll tax deposits
--Quarterly payroll tax returns
--Distribute W2’s annually
-General ledger
-Account analysis as required
-Recurring journal entries
-Month and year-end closing
-Fixed asset control
-Depreciation expense and accumulated depreciation
-Purchase orders
-Quarterly sales tax
-Time sheets and invoicing
-All bookkeeping activities for each division (4) of the company
Requirements:
-Positive, enthusiastic attitude
-Demonstrated ability to work in and with a team
-Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 2-4 years related experience or equivalent education/experience combination
-Extensive experience with Quickbooks Pro required
-The ability to communicate professionally and effectively to all levels of internal and external contacts (distributors, sales, vendors, agency representatives and employees)
-Advanced proficiency in Excel
-Proficiency in computer applications such as Database/Data Management systems, -Word, Internet & Email
-Ability to work in a fast paced, highly interactive environment
Desired Requirements:
-Wine Industry experience
-Working knowledge of WIMS or Winemaker database systems
-Passion and knowledge of wine and the wine industry
