Willamette Valley Vineyards is searching for 6 full-time, seasonal vineyard workers to join our vineyard crew near Hopewell, OR. Anticipated seasonal employment duration is June through August, with 3 regular full-time positions opening up after August.  We are hosting a vineyard crew hiring event on Wednesday, May 24 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. for all interested candidates to apply in person. Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Construct and maintain trellis system.
  
• Maintenance of vines including soil preparation, weed control, irrigation, planting and harvesting techniques.
  
• Operate, maintain and repair various farm equipment
  
• Work on day to day operations at vineyards including daily maintenance, pruning, spraying and weed control.
  
• Follow safety programs and guidelines.
  
• Operate all winery machinery safely and effectively.
  
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
  
• Make recommendations for safety improvements and report any safety violations to Vineyard Foreman or Vineyard Manager.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
• Supports Company’s effort to create a more sustainable and “green” environment to improve the company’s positive impact on the environment.

Requirements

• Practical mechanical maintenance skills.
  
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate closely with other members of the winemaking team.
  
• Ability to physically work the vineyard.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
