Southeast Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Southeast Sales Manager (SE Manager) will manage Niner Wine Estates business through Market work and with our Distributor partners. The SE Manager will also be responsible for directly calling on the top key accounts throughout the region and developing key trade relationships while increasing distribution and volume in the top accounts. The SE manager will be focused on Florida but will also spend time in other markets throughout SE Region and Eastern US.

Essential Functions:

•  Lead and drive sales in your territory.
•  Target, develop, and expand key account relationships throughout the sales territory and in all trade channels including On- and Off- Independents, National Accounts, and Chains. 
•  Regularly work all markets with key distributor personnel.
•  Educate key distributor personnel and motivate distributor sales teams. 
•  Be highly motivated toward individual and overall company success.
•  Be willing to spend an average of 4 days a week presenting wines independent of distributor support.
•  Evaluate distributor performance through quarterly business reviews.
•  Responsible for achieving annual case and accounts sold goals by market and by sku.
•  Present our wines regularly at sales meetings. 
•  Maintain and develop long term relationships with our existing accounts, while adding new distribution and increasing account base by opening new accounts. 
•  Attend all trade tastings, wine dinners, selling events as needed and educate the trade and consumers about Paso Robles and the Central Coast.
•  Flexibility of schedule is mandatory; must be able to work nights and weekends when needed.
•  Travel 40%-50% of the time.

Qualifications:

•  Minimum of 3 – 5 years of distributor and/or wine supplier experience in selling wine, building brands, and calling on customers (please do not apply otherwise).
•  College Degree (preferred)
•  Excellent wine knowledge 
•  Chain Account and/or National Account relationships and experience an asset
•  Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
•  Possess excellent planning/organizational skills with the ability to work independently
•  Candidate must be professional, focused, goal oriented, and demonstrate a high level of integrity
•  Requires strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet navigation)
•  Current valid driver license with clean record
•  Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
•  References upon request

*Preferred base location for a home office is in Florida. The candidate will not be relocated.
