Position Overview: This role is responsible for driving volume and profit growth in the assigned territory by utilizing a consultative selling approach and effectively supporting the accounts. The Sales Representative will call on all assigned accounts on a weekly rotation basis, introduce new product lines as available, maintain strong customer service relationships, deliver product as needed and resolve any issues.
Essential Job Functions:
· Achieve sales revenue and growth targets for the assigned territory
· Develop sales plans to identify new sales opportunities
· Call and personally visit accounts to meet or exceed customer expectations
· Lead and direct the merchandising activities within the accounts
· Deliver sales presentations
· Place customer orders and maintain accurate records of the orders
· Work closely with Credit department to resolve invoice problems and ensure prompt collection of payment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in complex selling strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent ability to build relationships with strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and be accountable for results
- Ability to learn in-depth brand and product knowledge
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to travel 75%
- Enthusiastic team player
Education/Experience/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry
- Must reside in the territory area or be willing to relocate
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
