Key Account Manager - Carolina Division (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This newly created position will be focusing on distribution, sales and gross profit growth for Trinchero Family Estates brands by supporting all elements of our route to market in off premise local, regional and national chains.  Building sales capabilities and tools for the assigned off-premise Sales Reps and Managers. Delivering specialized services to these outlets by being fully versed in the Trinchero Family Estates Portfolio along with wine industry and local market trends. To work in conjunction with our sales reps, sales managers, corporate Strategic Account Team, as well as with the supplier’s local and national sales personnel to maximize the Trinchero Family Estates business in these off-premise chains. Sales efforts to include building long term relationships with key account decision makers, making professional brand presentations, developing programs to drive sales volume, gross profit and improved distribution for the Trinchero Family Estates portfolio and the development of promotional events, samplings and major trade initiatives.  In this position you will serve as an internal and external leadership resource, with a consultative role for both customers and distributor employees.  Travel to key account headquarters will be required.

Essential Job Functions:   

Wine category knowledge and high-end consumer and brand acumen

Working knowledge of IRI and Nielson scan data

Proven and measurable sales management skills

Drive volume and profit growth

Contributing to the achievement of fiscal scorecard goals

Coordinate all supplier/distributor activities

Execute Joint Business Plan with a Sell-through approach

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Complex selling strategies including brand pricing and profitability
  • Attention to detail
  • High-End consumer and brand acumen
  • Ability to continually expand knowledge on complex brands and related marketing strategies

Education/Experience/Training:

Four Year College degree

Candidate must possess valid driver’s license

Six years’ experience at the supplier, wholesale or retail level with wine industry and/or sales background

CSW credentials preferred but not required
