Production Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Based in St. Helena, Copper Cane Wines & Provisions was founded in 2014 by fifth-generation winemaker Joseph Wagner. Before Wagner formed Copper Cane, he created Belle Glos vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs one of the U.S. market’s hottest luxury wine brands.

Today, Copper Cane’s portfolio of wines includes: Elouan Pinot Noir from Oregon, Elouan Rose, Belle Glos Pinot Noirs from prime California coastal vineyards, Carne Humana Red and White Wines from Napa Valley, Beran Zinfandels of California, and Steorra, a Brut sparkling wine made of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to work with the Copper Cane Bottling Team a results driven company that deeply value relationships and pride ourselves in the positive culture we have developed with our distributor partners and with each other.

JOB SUMMARY
Production Coordinator is responsible with administration and coordination of tasks within the Bottling Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•  Logistical support for bottling and transport of finished goods/trucking coordination
•  Assists Production department as assigned for special projects, large bottle bottling and packaging
•  Coordinate and schedule shipments of packaging supplies to coincide with bottling
•  Assists in packaging/dry goods and supplies related to all bottling activity (glass, cork, capsules, labels, etc.)
•  Perform basic quality checks on incoming dry goods
•  Perform inventory cycle counts and document results
•  Perform any other tasks as assigned by Production Supervisor/Manager
•  Assist in routine line checks using a variety of methods, including visual inspection weight and fill heights of wine in bottle.
•  Print all pallet tags/case labels
•  Assist in reviewing all incoming product and make sure it passes CC standards
•  Do daily counts and bottling reports
•  Schedule glass deliveries for bottling runs
•  Schedule finished goods transfers
•  Consolidate agenda items and distribute agenda for production meetings
•  Take minutes of meeting and distribute to team for any open follow up items
•  Administrative duties related to bottling personnel
•  Updates packaging inventory, including shipping/receiving related to all bottlings
•  Keeps accurate inventory records
•  Record keeper of all COLA submissions and any TTB follow up items
•  Prepare reports, enter data, and produce arrival/delivery schedules to keep key internal partners apprised of bottling status and issues

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•  Primary work environment is on the production floor
•  Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels
•  Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks in a production environment
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
