We are a small, family-run wine company owned by the same people that own Clif Bar & Company.
Our tasting room, Velo Vino is located on Main Street in downtown St. Helena. 
You will typically find our Farm to Food Truck, the Clif Family Bruschetteria parked outside.

Hospitality Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•  Responsible for the complete guest experience from A to Z, including booking reservations, appointment confirmations and follow-up.
•  Acts as a concierge to guests making recommendations to other winery, restaurant and hotel partners.
•  Provides a high level of standard when executing the Clif Family hospitality program.
•  Utilizes POS and other relevant tools for taking detailed notes on all guest and club member preferences and history.
•  Communicates with entire team via CRM on all activity with regards to hospitality and company partners and leads.
•  Works with Wine Club Manager to ensure that all club members receive exemplary customer service when making phone or email queries about visiting, their account or other service needs.
•  Assists Wine Club Manager on projects and phone campaigns as needed to include: building club shipments prior to club weekend, working the phones for any follow up campaign with club members, taking club members account updates. 
•  Assists Director of Hospitality with any Sales and Marketing projects as needed to include: CRM updates, database management and culling for new sales leads.
•  Assists team with any special projects or activation in regards to Tasting Room Operations and Events or Special Events activations.
•  Provides a unique and engaging experience for our guests that promotes and builds brand loyalty, responsible for bringing “Clif” to life at Velo Vino tasting room.
•  Effectively and consistently educate and enroll guests in our wine club programs to include obtaining guest contact information and asking for/closing wine and retail sales.
•  Facilitate and administer all standard and private food and wine tasting experiences for walk-in, by appointment and large group clientele.

The ideal candidate will have:
•  Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
•  Minimum two years’ experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a winery tasting room, special events, restaurant or retail.
•  Restaurant, Hotel, Hospitality, Culinary or Retail experience preferred.
•  Strong customer service and hospitality skills (hard working, energetic, multi-tasking aficionado with keen eye for detail).
•  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
•  Able to multi-task and work in a collaborative team environment with unparalleled PATIENCE and selfless commitment to the customer.
•  Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Navigation (social media), winery software (E-Cellars a plus).
•  Tasting and evaluation of wines required.
•  Must be comfortable working on feet for long periods of time. 
Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds. 
•  Available to work weekends, holidays and as required for special events and activities.
•  Familiarity with basic food & wine pairing principles a plus.
•  Infectious personality with an enthusiasm and passion for life, wine, food and adventure .
•  Self-starter with an ability to anticipate and pro-actively accomplish tasks.
•  Barista experience a plus.
