Sherwin Family Vineyards is a small family-run boutique winery that was established in 1996. We focus on small-production luxury wines, particularly Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. We are a very hands-on winery, which means we often have to “wear multiple hats.” Sherwin Family Vineyards is seeking a talented back-office manager to assist in many areas of the business.
EXPERIENCE:
Technical proficiency needed to manage back-office POS, online business services and activities
Must be resourceful, customer-service and detail oriented, with the creativity to solve challenges and the flexibility to multi-task
Hospitality experience is desired for assistance in the tasting room, if needed
Small/Mid-size winery DTC Sales
Not Required However Beneficial Experience:
Experience in QuickBooks Online, including wine industry cost accounting
Bookkeeping, including payroll, state and payroll tax filing, inventory management, and production of various monthly financial reports
Outside sales experience
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Wine order processing and shipping – FOB, Wholesale, Retail
POS system use and management
Assist with tasting room sales and event pourings, as needed (sales ability a plus, but primarily back-office and POS support)
Wine club and mailing list management
Customer service, including problem solving and handling incoming inquiries for wine clubs, tasting room appointments and events
Email and E-Newsletter Design (HTML experience a plus)
Basic wine industry marketing
Small scale social media management/marketing
Winery inventory management
Multi-state wine industry compliance reporting is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
On site, must be flexible to work longer hours for specific projects and to meet deadlines.
Must be available to make occasional deliveries and be able to carry a case of wine.
Full-time, 40 hours/week. Weekends as needed. Wage/Salary/bonus/benefits DOE.
