Job Title: Executive Director

Description: This is a half-time, 12-month position. The primary responsibility of the Executive Director is to aid in the development of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail as a premier tourism destination. The Director will work closely with wineries to develop and implement marketing and public relations efforts and encourage tourism revenue growth in the Shawnee Hills region. The individual will: develop strategies and partnerships to drive visitor traffic and revenue growth; effectively communicate, plan and implement strategic initiatives; plan and execute meetings; manage committees; and research, write, and maintain grants. Successful grant writing efforts can culminate in this position becoming full-time.
Qualifications: B.S. degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business or related area. The individual will need to have: literacy in Microsoft Office Suite products, use of the Internet and social media; the ability to read, listen and summarize a broad range of information; the skills to write clear, concise documents and effectively present information in response to questions from the organization, vendors, media and the public; the capability to define problems clearly, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and present these conclusions in a clear and understandable manner; and the ability to efficiently manage time, coordinating activities, and think ahead about the needs of the organization. Individual must also have a valid driver's license.
Annual Salary: $10,400-$14,560 / 20 hours per week
