HOURS: You will represent:
- The Oldest Commercial Winery in America that still has it's original vineyard land
- The only winery to have survived a Civil War Battle
- Wine that sells 90% of the time. All wines are award winning.
Working hours during the week that work for the wine shops, grocery stores and other retail wine shops between 10 AM to # PM or
Wine tastings between 5 to 8 PM
Or
Festivals on weekend.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION: This job requires that the employee to meet minimum standards for job activities, which includes:
TASTING ROOM and FESTIVALS

Greet customers graciously

Articulate information enthusiastically about the wines and winery

Detail wines and wine characteristics
-
Posses a good understanding of tasting techniques, wines and vineyards

Tracking e-mail leads, information on customers
-
Sell wine by the tastings, glass, bottle, case, etc.

Prepare and move wine, tables, rack cards, etc. to wine shop tasting areas
-
Be ready to serve wine at the specific time that are requested by the wine shops
-
Track wine use for tasting and sales
-
Pack up and return wine as well as marketing material, etc. to winery
-
Drive to and from retail wine clients
-
May have to deliver wine to distributors or coordinate schedule with distributor pick up/drop off
-
Provide retail clients with a very high level of service
-
Clients may includes liquor stores, wine shops, restaurants, distributors and a variety of retail clients
-
Keep employer informed
-
Do not sell wine illegally, serve to minors or break any laws
-
Check identification cards on guests
-
Any guests under 21 cannot be served wine
-
Identify and ask to leave any intoxicated guests
-
Refuse to serve any intoxicated guests
-
Recommend foods that wine goes well with

Transact cash, checks and credit card exchanges for products
-
All activities associated with stocking wine from distributor
-
Assist customers in their enjoyment of wine and winery
-
Willing to travel
-
Do not taste or drink wine during working hours
-
Participate in training
-
Notify owner immediately of any accidents or issues
-
Read and comply with the Crisis Management Plan

Be honest
