Outbound Sales (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This entry-level position is primarily responsible for contacting customers via phone from our customer list to offer sales opportunities. As part of that outreach, the role also provides customer service to our guests as needed. The candidate must be passionate about wine and will be expected to learn the history, membership benefits, wines and experiences offered through Boisset Collection’s multiple brands. 

You will be responsible for:

•  Contacting customers to extend wine offers and information.
•  Delivering exceptional customer service and being proactive in solving customer issues as they arise.
•  Achieving daily call and sales goals.
•  Writing effective and professional email communications as follow-up to sales calls.
•  When needed, contacting guests for service related issues not related to sales opportunities.
•  Entering customer orders and call notes in AMS, and maintaining accurate data and records of all contacts and transactions.
•  Ensuring that orders are processed and ship as expected, and providing customer service related to any orders you processed.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: 
•  Proficient in the use of a PC with Office software.
•  Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and inspire trust. 
•  Professional appearance and tone.
•  Strong problem solving abilities to satisfactorily resolve customer concerns.
•  Ability to handle high volume work load and prioritize effectively.
•  Ability to gain membership and product knowledge quickly.
•  Ability to display courtesy and effectively manage challenging customer situations.
•  Ability to maintain composure and remain calm in all circumstances.
•  Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. 
•  Ability to think creatively, present ideas persuasively, ask for help, when needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
•  Experience with data entry and database management. 
•  Customer service training and experience sufficient to successfully resolve difficult situations with ease and to cross-sell or up-sell effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
•  Prior wine industry experience
