Harvest Lab Internship (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Do you have a solid lab background and want to sharpen your skills with a rapidly growing Portland-ish winery? Well, this might be just the gig for you! We are looking for one lucky person that will primarily be tasked with the following: 

-Analysis of vineyard samples
-Sample collection from fermentation vessels
-Operation of our Admeo analyzer for juice analysis
-Determination of TA through titration
-Daily brix/temps
-SO2 analysis through aeration method and with the analyzer
-Set-up various bench-top trials: fining, additions and blending
-Some cellar work, predominantly involving inoculations
-Maintain a clean and organized working environment

Due to the important and illustrious nature of this position, the follow are required:
-Enological laboratory experience, be it academic or applied
-Solid understanding with winemaking process 
-Ability and desire to stand for long periods of the day, as well as walk far and often
-Able to lift and carry 50lbs
-Verbal and written fluency of English
-Extremely computer literate 
-Self-proclaimed expert in Microsoft Excel
-Desire to master new systems
-Obsession with accuracy when collecting, recording and reporting data

The position will begin around the first of September and ends in early November. Start date flexibility is a must.
