Hawks View Cellars, located just outside of Portland, OR is looking for a motivated individual to join our small winery team for the 2017 vintage. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 50 + pounds, and will be available to work long and flexible hours including weekends starting early August. We only hire one harvest intern, so expect to work long hours once it gets busy. Work responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Receiving and processing fruit
*Setup, cleaning, and breakdown of processing equipment
*Barrel cleaning, placement of barrels on in-place racks, racking, and barrel filling
*Fermentation monitoring including yeast inoculation, additions, punchdown, and pumpovers
Applicants with previous vintage experience preferred. Forklift skills and/or study in Enology a plus. Must have own housing, reliable transportation and a valid visa if not a US citizen.
