Spirit Works Distillery is seeking a full-time Sales Manager, based in Northern CA. Spirit Works Distillery is a craft distillery based in Sebastopol, CA. We are a grain to glass facility run by a small, dedicated, and passionate team. 

SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager will be part of a highly creative team, focused on the growth of Spirit Works Distillery (SWD) products across all markets including Northern CA, Southern CA, Distillery Tasting Room, Arizona, Illinois, Colorado, and new markets. The Sales Manager will work closely with and manage distributor partners, sales force, key on and off-premise accounts, as well as providing support as needed at the distillery. The position is focused largely on sales and overall growth of the SWD brand. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Distributor Management
•  Develop relationships with distributor managers and sales teams
•  Coordinate team meetings with distributor partners and present SWD initiatives in order to drive distribution, improve visibility and increase sales
•  Utilize programming and/or incentive tools to help achieve sales goals
•  Educate distributor personnel in understanding the culture, long-term objectives and current industry news of SWD

Sales Force Management
•  Work closely with Market Managers, brokers, and general sales force
•  Create KPIs that are attainable, yet ambitious 
•  Provide recommendations against target account lists and update as needed with new account openings and new opportunities
•  Provide sales support/training to sales force

Planning & Reporting
•  Create sales plans, including market objectives, pricing strategies, account action plans, and volume driving initiatives
•  Create and manage yearly sales budgets
•  Develop customized key account programs that drive sales volume
•  Work closely with SWD team, specifically the Marketing Director to develop market strategies 
•  Research, organize and present sales reports, market feedback, and results every month to SWD team
•  Provide feedback concerning brand positioning, competitive activities and market trends and report key insights with recommendations for solutions
•  Complete monthly reporting and expenses according to company policy
•  Update CRM (Salesforce) daily detailing accounts visited, accounts sold, back-bar placements made, menu placements made, etc.

Account Sell-in & Management
•  Identify market opportunities and consumer needs
•  Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account buyers, managers, and owners in on and off-premise accounts
•  Make regular sales calls to designated on and off-premise accounts to cultivate customer relations
•  Drive distribution through cocktail and menu placements in targeted key accounts
•  Be willing to travel regularly for sales outreach

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•  You must be awesome
•  3+ years beverage marketing/sales experience
•  Distributor negotiation and management experience
•  Proven record of achieving sales and revenue goals
•  Experience in building and managing a sales team a huge plus
•  Ability to manage budgets and provide timely, concise reporting
•  Experience in promotional/guerilla marketing and event execution
•  Demonstrated public-speaking, presentation and writing skills
•  Ability to sell, influence and partner with trade 
•  Excellent execution and time management skills; strong attention to detail with ability to take initiative, prioritize and meet deadlines
•  Passion and knowledge of food and drinks as well as craft cocktail culture
•  Clean driving record
•  Able to lift 50 pounds
