Job description includes: selling wine to our customer base, running tastings, inventory management, tasting schedule planning, wine club management, upkeep of the marketing materials in the shop and on the web (shelf-talkers, blog posts, etc.) and yes, basic cleaning so that the shop looks tidy and professional.
Candidate MUST have 1) outstanding knowledge of wines from around the world, 2) top-notch selling and customer service skills, 3) supreme multi-tasking skills (selling wine, running a tasting, answering the phone, ringing people up in an often fast-paced environment). Experience ringing people up through a POS system a plus. IDEAL candidate has excellent wine writing skills for our wine blog posts and updating the web with wine notes, winemaker features, etc.
