Zachys Wine & Liquor is a family owned business that has been servicing the fine wine needs of the NY Metro market and beyond for 65 years. A conveniently located store front (directly across the street from the NY Metro Rail stop) set in the village of Scarsdale has been a drive-to destination for customers up and down the Eastern seaboard for decades.

Over the last 15 years Zachys has built up one of the strongest and deepest selections of fine wines in America. The store's future growth is solely based on the talented individuals we have tasting and promoting these wines on a day-to-day basis. Zachys has dozens of success stories internally from employees with a can-do attitude. Although a family owned business, the ownership fully understands and encourages individual thinking and "pushing the envelope" to make the store a better and more dynamic environment.

We are currently looking for a Jr. Sales Representative to be one of the "Faces of fine wines".
It is the expectation of this position that this employee will be proficient working in the following areas and the description of work:

*        Part-time on the sales floor rotating time between floor sales and our customer service department.

*        Be a very customer service driven individual who believes in doing anything/everything to get the job done.

*        Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and have the ability to stay organized and multi-task.

*        Have enough experience within the wine world that they can speak comfortably and proficiently about all major wine producing regions.

*        Work efficiently in a computer driven environment and utilize your computer skill set to drive sales.

*        Willing to continue to taste, learn and participate in sales tastings onsite and off to further their wine knowledge.

 

Responsibilities:

*        Create/deepen relationships with clients and understand their goals.

*        Broaden Zachys share of all of our clients’ wine-related needs.

*        Support call center as necessary.

*        Participate in strategic planning for sales team.

 

Qualifications:

*        Ability to cultivate deep relationships with clients by understanding their wine-related goals and earning trust.

*        Strong wine knowledge and interest in fine wine. Constant awareness of industry trends and Zachys inventory.

*        Ability to cross-sell other wine-related services.

*        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
