Wine Spectrum, Inc. - the wine industry’s direct sales leader for 22 years – seeks an energetic individual to recruit and train sales advisors for our growing organization.
This newly created full-time position will maintain responsibility for year round recruitment and training of our on-site sales force. Duties will include all aspects of sales staff recruitment (including job ad composition and placement, reviewing initial ad responses, conducting first interviews and checking references) and then training the new hires in the techniques of direct marketing ultra premium wines. In training, this position will be responsible for teaching phone and email sales techniques and basic wine information, as well as Wine Spectrum procedures, sales standards and the workplace culture to new hires. Emphasis will be placed on teaching superior closing skills with the aim of growing clientele to meet sales goals.
A qualified candidate will display the ability to create, augment and implement sales training programs and materials, and the ability to interact well with the sales manager and department heads. Candidate must be a self-starter — highly energetic and motivated — with the ability to motivate new hires throughout the training period.
Additional duties will include preparation of various sales reports and review documents using Excel & Word to evaluate individual sales staff’s performance. The candidate should have the ability to create and facilitate training classes centered on superior direct marketing techniques and be able to design and customize appropriate training materials using applicable computer programs (Office & Filemaker.)
Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong motivational, organization and sales abilities. The position requires excellent (verbal & written) communication and skills. Compensation will be based upon a salary + commission. A comprehensive benefits package is provided which includes generous time off and health / retirement benefits. BA preferred.
