Our Brands include: Dow’s, Graham’s, Cockburn's, Smith Woodhouse, Quinta do Vesuvio Ports, and Prats and Symington Douro DOC wines along with Blandy’s, Cossart Gordon and Leacock’s Madeiras.
Premium Port Wines is seeking an Account Manager based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This person will be responsible for broad market business and distributor chain contacts in the West, (CA, WA, OR). The position reports to the Western Regional Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Training role for Distributor Sales Teams, Retail and On-Premise account staff
• Developing relationships in the DM, KAM and Sales Rep level at the distributor
• Market work-distributor ride-with or independent. Developing relationships with the key retailers and on-premise accounts in the Region. On-Premise account development is crucial to building our brands and category.
• Executing distributor programming and PPW Regional Projects set up by management, (Quintas, Specialty Items, DOC’s, and Madeiras)
• Coordinating consumer and in-store tastings throughout the region.
• Using distribution and depletion data for market analysis and account targeting
• Priority Coverage Areas
• West: CA, WA, OR
• Occasional market work in other regions when needed
Qualifications:
• Fine wine knowledge including Ports and Madeira’s.
• Extensive knowledge of key buyers in both independent retail and restaurant accounts, and should be comfortable working in each realm.
• 3-5 years distributor/supplier wine sales experience preferred.
• Highly organized, energetic, self-motivated, able to work independently with a fine sense of delivering top notch service are key elements of the position.
• Understanding of distributor operations and what it takes to get “brand presence”.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and via technology.
• Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to speak before large groups.

• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
