Area Manager - Northern California (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We are seeking an Area Manager for the Northern California area with excellent presentation, communication and management skills to work with our wholesaler and marketing partners to build Akvinta in both on and off premise accounts in the California marketplace. Candidate should be passionate about their work, be experienced in selling high end spirit products and have existing relationships with key accounts in the territory.

Job Overview:
• Call on new and existing customers to build strong business relations with all on and off premise accounts in the assigned area
• Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with our distributor’s management and sales team, working with them closely to set and achieve volume, profit and distribution objectives, implement pricing and programming, monitor inventory levels, and track progress and reporting on an on-going basis
• Forecast depletions and sales to ensure budget objectives are achieved
• Present our brand to key buyers for on-premise and off-premise accounts
• Conduct educational trainings and tastings with our distributor, the trade, and consumers
• Assist our marketing team with promotional events in the territory.
• Build and maintain partnerships with key accounts
• Develop impactful feature drink menu placements in all accounts to drive pull through volume
• Develop and maintain key account lists, buyers and sales reports
• Provide feedback to management on market trends and competitive activity
• Follow through on all commitments made to distributor management, sales personnel, and the trade.

Job Requirements
• Candidate should reside in Greater Bay Area
• A minimum of three years of experience with established account base.
• Prior experience selling spirits. Bartender experience a plus.
• Professional image and demeanor
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Excellent time management skills
• Polished presentation and communication style
• Strong business math and computer skills particularly MS Office.
• Ability to manage budgets and provide timely reporting
• Evening and weekend hours as needed, ability to travel when necessary.
• Able to lift 45 lbs.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
