Growing Fine Wine Distributor is looking for a salesperson to call on San Diego County and (possibly, depending on relationships) key Orange County accounts. This is a commission-based position. Representing other books is okay, although the goal is to build the territory to a level that can support you full time.
Our wines range from highly sought, small production Bordeaux to other classic as well as up-and-coming appellations throughout Europe, with a growing collection of Southern Hemisphere and premium American wines, as well. A basic understanding of French wines, for a start, will help you sell the portfolio more effectively.
Requirements:
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in outside wine sales – would like to hear about your successes, key relationships, and skills at cold-calling and prospecting
- You are comfortable and effective selling to independent restaurants and stores as well as larger and multi-unit accounts
- You can provide timely feedback on all presentations to management using company systems (Orderoso)
- You are open to working with company and supplier representatives in the field on occasion
- You live in San Diego County
