SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Finished Goods Project Manager will act as a liaison between the Sales, Winery, Procurement, Winemaking, and Bottling Operations teams. This position will be responsible for a variety of front end planning activities required to attain production objectives. Responsible to formulate and support the execution of the inventory investment strategy while maintaining a high level of support to the Sales team through constant communication and timely availability of product. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Sales to manage run rates
Work with Sales to provide projection on bottling dates
Establish priorities for specific customer orders, including export and specialty projects (e.g. waxing)
Provide input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changes and backlogs
Act as a liaison for all customer service groups, communicate any market intelligence and trends effecting customer deliveries
Communicate opportunity buys to Bulk Sales division
Partner with Procurement, Production, Marketing, and Quality to manage package change projects and ensure successful execution and implementation
Manage all Product Specification Forms
Manage specification library (glass, cork, capsule, label, screwcap) and track packaging changes for BRC compliance purposes
Manage project approval process in Teamwork
Partner with Sales/Marketing on new brand development and execution
Partner with Winemaking to determine optimal time for bottling to maximize efficiencies
Manage the action items resulting from the weekly bottling meeting
Manage the agenda for the sales and operations monthly planning meeting
Help manage hard counts for specific orders/clients
Exports order management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
2+ years relevant experience in manufacturing environment
Food/beverage packaging experience a plus
Quality Control experience a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS
LANGUAGE - Ability to respond to basic inquiries from clients and business affiliates. Ability to read and write required correspondence that confirm to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers, affiliates, clients and the public
TECHINICAL – Intermediate to advanced capability in MS Office Suite, ERP systems proficiency
GENERAL – Ability to be highly analytical, detail oriented, deliver on stated objectives and work both independently and in a team setting
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and/or keyboard. Required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The requirement of this job requires use of the computer and phone.
