Coria Estates is a family owned winery and tasting room in the south hills of Salem, Oregon. We focus on producing Burgundian wines, including Pinot noir, Pinot gris, Rose of Pinot noir, and Chardonnay. We have roughly 94 acres under vine and have been producing fruit in the Willamette Valley for over 18 years. The Coria Estates label has been producing wine for over 4 years and is proud to have the entire family involved in the growing and producing of its wine. We have a hard working and fun dynamic here and love what we do.
We are seeking one additional part-time sales associate to work in our brand new tasting room, who is passionate about wine and is energetic and passionate about customer wine education. We want to find associates to grow and evolve with us as we undertake this momentous endeavor. Some background in wine is required, as well as a positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to handle various group dynamics. Our goal is to provide customers with the feeling of “stepping into our living room” and have them leave with an intimate wine experience. We love to have fun with our customers, but take much pride in the work we do here.
Job Details:
• Provide memorable tasting experiences for customers, including wine education
• Customer sales, phone support and inquiries
• Customer order packing / Wine club shipment building
• Keeping a clean and orderly tasting room and patio
• Merchandise/inventory tracking and light record keeping
Qualifications:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
A two-year Associates degree -OR- previous tasting room experience required.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with an ever-changing work environment and schedule.
Must be friendly and outgoing with some wine knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Acute attention to detail.
Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and professional work attire required.
Must be able to take direction and work within a team setting.
Be comfortable working independently.
Must have a valid Oregon drivers license, be over 21 years of age with a valid servers permit through OLCC.
Job Start Date: July 15 , 2017.
Rate of Pay: $13.00
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday – Part Time.
