Salvestrin Winery is seeking an experienced hardworking Assistant Winemaker to join our small dynamic team. The Assistant Winemaker will manage all day-to-day cellar activities and facility maintenance under the supervision of the owner/winemaker. This position requires the employee be comfortable wearing many hats. There will be occasional involvement in sales and marketing, vineyard operations, as well as general estate maintenance.
Candidates should have following qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years cellar experience
Strong organizational skills
Good communication and math skills
Ability to operate a fork-lift
Flexibility to work long and irregular hours
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Good computer skills, word, excel
QAC certification is a plus
Previous experience managing and maintaining a facility is a plus
Passion for wine production at the highest level
