Equally stellar is the Pahlmeyer team, from its vineyard and winemaking operations to the team members that represent and support the company to its clients and friends. A new team position has been created to complement this outstanding team in the finance and accounting group in St. Helena.
Reporting to Pahlmeyer’s senior finance executive, our successful candidate will be highly skilled in performing and managing all required accounting functions and financial reporting, and general ledger reconciliation; cash flow management; compliance; develop and implement accounting policy; compute and prepare data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; and oversee all accounting functions. In doing so, this candidate must possess extensive knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices; have strong experience of integrated software applications, including using a sophisticated enterprise system (Oracle, AMS, SAP); commit to excellence and high standards of performance in self-management, accuracy, time management, written and verbal communication skills, and integrity and ethics. This position requires an individual who is “hands on,” is enterprise systems savvy, and is able to both perform the required functions as well as manage them.
Our requirements: a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of education and experience; a minimum of five years recent highly responsible accounting and finance experience in the wine industry, at least three years of which has been in a team leadership (supervisory or management).
