Grgich Hills Estate is looking for talented, enthusiastic Tasting Room sales personnel with a passion for wine, working with the public and making the sale. The open positions are seasonal and they will require you to work on weekends. You must be articulate & motivated, with excellent sales and customer service skills. You must be able to learn and speak about wine characteristics, the wine making process, our sustainable farming techniques, and winery history and philosophy. This position requires some heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.) and standing for long periods behind tasting bar. You will conduct tastings, sell wine direct to consumers, conduct consumer and trade tours, provide excellent customer service, perform cash register operation and daily opening & closing procedures. You may be required to work special events and local outside tastings.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
•A team player with excellent sales and communication skills, dynamic personality & superior customer service ability.
•Ability to work under pressure and keep your cool
•Consistently able to maintain enthusiasm and project a positive company image.
•Excellent organization, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required.
•Previous experience operating a cash register or knowledge of AMS POS system a plus.
