Payroll & Compliance Accountant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are seeking an experience person with skills in Payroll and Compliance licensing for all states. If you would like to work for a great company, great team and enjoy fulfilling work please apply. 

•  Administer all payroll activities for the company. 
•  Compile and prepare payroll data such as wages, deductions, pension, insurance, automatic deposits, loan payments, etc.
•  Prepare and control the company time keeping software, audit and input timesheets into company payroll system 
•  Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of bi-weekly payroll and distribution of payroll checks
•  Review time sheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
•  Record employee information, such as exemptions, I-9 verification, transfers and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records. 
•  Maintain and prepare monthly health care invoices, flex spending account and 401K program. 
•  Interpret company policy and understands governmental regulations affecting payroll matters.   Keeps informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
•  Manage Time IPS system. Trains new employees on Time IPS.
•  Review time sheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. 
•  Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and security with employee information


•  Performs activities related to obtaining government approval for items that are covered by government regulations.
•  Participates in related government interaction and compliance activities within the organization and at contract facilities.
•  Reviews proposed activities by regulatory agencies to determine potential impact on the organization and advises management on such issues.
•  Researches, analyzes and interprets regulations to provide recommendations for business initiatives.
•  Coordinates and participates with management in the resolution of non-compliance situations.
•  Creates and distributes standard reports.
•  Prepares reports to management, defining problem, evaluation, and possible solution.
•  Maintains appropriate files, records and documentation


•  Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. 
•  Preferred experience with Payroll and Compliance
•  Knowledge of payroll principles and wine industry practices
•  Attention to detail.
•  Ability to maintain confidentiality
•  Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to build and enhance internal and external customer relationships.
•  Ability to solve problems in a creative manner.
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Access.
•  Ability to learn new systems and procedures
