Event Operations Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Event Service Management: (50%)

  • Supervise and captain events at the Chateau and Niebaum Mansion, acting as Host when needed.
  • Work with the Event Coordinator on the coordination of all events’ operations in the Chateau.
  • Execute the majority of private, Wholesale, internal, and family events as needed.
  • Work with the Chateau Ambassador to coordinate Service training sessions for Events and Hospitality Staff as needed.

Event Operations: (40%)

  • Develop and implement detailed systems to streamline operations and control costs. This will include:
  • Optimize ReServe Software and assist with closing out events within ReServe as needed.
  • Assist the Event Coordinator as needed with day to day duties.
  • Organize storage areas for utensils/equipment/supplies, maintaining the Events closet.
  • Evaluate vendors and products for best quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain monthly inventory (par levels)/allocation for equipment and supplies.
  • Determine and track wine allocation for each event, ordering wine when necessary from Biagi.
  • Determine rental needs and order rentals and equipment as needed.
  • Optimize use of all in-house equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained.
  • Optimize rental orders when necessary, to use for multiple events.
  • Prepare, review and process purchase orders and/or invoices weekly.

Hospitality Operations: (10%)

  • Supervise Hospitality Support staff to ensure that all event set up is completed as prescribed.
  • Supervise Tasting Room staff to assist with events as needed

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience: Possess a Bachelor’s or Associates degree, and 3+ years of Hospitality experience in Operations and/or Service.   Knowledge of ReServe software is desired, as well as prior tableside service skills.  Computer Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet & POS Proficiency in RMS or similar system is required.
