Position Overview
We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Strategist who is passionate about the wine industry and can
assist with our social media marketing efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of our business and how to
make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts.
Candidates are expected to have experience with social media campaigns and have developed strategies
that have proven results. You must be able to think strategically and see how social media fits into a business’
marketing strategy, not just “selling” to our customers, but building long-lasting relationships by providing
value to them.
The right candidate must be able to assist in developing social media strategies and achieve established
goals and then execute them (with our assistance). You must be able to measure and document the impact of
social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase our global footprint.
Job Responsibilities:
Developing/strategizing social media goals, designing campaigns and aligning resources to achieve
the desired results
Working with design and editorial to promote viral content (i.e. memes, listicles, etc.)
Enhancing profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.)
Uploading videos, photo albums, etc.
Finding users to follow/friend/like our business
Working with the team to write and post blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business
Replying to comments, messages, etc.
Report findings to the team on a weekly basis
Consistently learn and grow, ask pertinent questions
Ability to create and upload Twitter & YouTube backgrounds, and minor video editing skills are a plus
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising
Top-notch written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
Ability to develop a detailed and professional social media marketing plan
Proven track record of running social media programs that have delivered measurable results
Experience with managing hybrid (paid/organic) social media programs including promoted tweets,
promoted Twitter accounts, Facebook ad campaigns and LinkedIn sponsored posts.
Experience blogging and/or working directly with bloggers
Extensive knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, blogs, etc.
Knowledge of digital media software – Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred
Willingness to create written content, video blogs, write press releases, Tweets and Facebook posts
daily
Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through social media
Experience proofreading and editing
Ability to deal with uncertainty
Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams
You’ll be a key contributor in helping to build our social network of industry contacts throughout the world. We
are seeking the right candidate to search and develop our social sphere as we continue to expand our web
presence.

Schedule, Hours & Location:
Flexible schedule: Part-time to start with potential for FTE and ability to work remote but must be in the
San Francisco area
o Approximately 30 hours per week
o TBD if project scope warrants additional time
