Summary:
Mutual Distributing Company is seeking to hire a Vice President of Sales. The role will oversee all sales activities for Mutual Distributing Company statewide. Offer great benefits package after 90 days employment.

Job Duties:
• Build, develop, and manage the sales team, including recruitment, selection, retention, evaluation, development, and termination to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Hold direct supervisory responsibility for Sales Managers at each branch. Travel regularly to outlying branches to meet with employees, suppliers, and customers as needed.
• Work with Marketing to define company-wide sales goals.
• Develop sales budget and manage budget adherence. 
• Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
• Review and analyze sales performance against programs, quotas, and plan to determine effectiveness.
• Manage and monitor account sales execution.
• Regularly meet with key suppliers and conduct market surveys with supplier representatives and executives.
• Establish and maintain relationship with industry influences and key strategic partners. Travel nationally and internationally as needed to support these relationships.
• Work with executives in other departments to facilitate clear communication and cohesive company-wide management strategies. Prepare periodic sales reports for executive team showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.


Job Requirements: 
• Minimum 10 years sales experience, with in-depth knowledge of fine wines and the wine industry
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year span
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
• Technical skills in a strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising
