Company Background
The Amador Vintners Association (AVA) represents 42 award-winning wineries in California’s Sierra Foothills. The Association is charged with marketing and promoting the area as a world-class wine producing region with quality wines, along with hospitable and charming tasting rooms with a backdrop of the beautiful Sierra Mountains. Our membership is made up of vintners large and small producing anywhere from 200,000 cases per year to under 2,000. Some members have wine distribution regionally, some nationally, and some only sell direct to consumer from their tasting rooms.
Position
The Amador Vintners Association is seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to lead the Association in its regional marketing efforts. Guided by the directives of the Association’s Board of Directors, this is an executive level operations/administrative position responsible for serving and promoting the interests of its members, along with overseeing, coordinating and organizing efforts to realize the mission of the Association.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or higher
- At least 2 years experience in marketing/public relations
- Strong organizational, verbal and written skills required
- Experience in the development/performance of social media marketing preferred
- Management experience preferred (position includes mgmt. of marketing firm and small staff)
- Knowledge of wine and the wine industry preferred—however, those with simply a love of Amador Wine will also be considered!
