WINE CONSULTANT/KEY HOLDER (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

St. Julian is Michigan's oldest and largest Winery.  We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated candidate to fill a Wine Consultant/Key Holder postition at our Paw Paw Tasting Room. This position requires a positive and professional attitude, friendly communication style and a desire to learn and teach about wine while demonstrating superior customer service to provide an excellent experience for our guests.

This position is Part Time (29 hours or less) - Weekend availability is required. Must be 21+

Responsibilities:

• Conducting educational wine tastings and tours
• Assist with wine focused events
• Ability to conduct tours, host groups and provide an educational experience
• Complete point of sale transactions for wine, merchandise, Wine Club and donation pick-ups while building strong customer relationships
• Complete shipping and Wine Club orders
• Maintain merchandise displays
• Stocking and inventory
• Create and execute an engaging, educational and positive memorable experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and occasional evenings
• Perform Opening/Closing procedures
• Nightly Deposits

Qualifications:

• Time management skills and multi-tasking ability
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills
• PC skills (Word, Excel and Access)
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
