Position Summary:
To carry out all Agricultural payroll processing duties such as weekly data entry and analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
Essential Functions:
Review and monitor Ag Hourly payroll and attendance to ensure the accuracy of hours and allocation.
Run payroll reports for vineyard managers to eliminate payroll errors.
Administer labor variance reports as requested.
Facilitate and maintain Ag employee safety meetings and training records.
Coordinate and administer payroll management system training to vineyard operations department.
Provide technical payroll support for technological devices (i.e: iPad and PC)
Coordinate Ag personal and medical leave requests
Ensure timely data entry of new hires into payroll system
Understand and apply the UFW Collective Bargaining Agreement as it pertains to administration of Ag payroll.
Coordinate compliance materials with Federal WSDA organic requirements
Non-Essential Functions:
Interact with Vineyard Administration staff and Agriculture employees
Cross train to fill in as needed for the Vineyard Coordinator and Vineyard Administration Coordinator position.
Assist with all other Vineyard Operations clerical duties as requested

Controlled office environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a computer station for extended periods of time.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Two year degree in business or related area of study preferred or a combination of education and three years of relevant work experience.
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Strong administrative background with emphasis on data entry, data base knowledge Report compilation and basic accounting
Strong computer - encompassing Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word)
Strong organizational/communication/composition skills
Previous experience in vineyard or farm operation preferred
Ability to work independently, prioritize and be flexible
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact with individuals of diverse cultures and backgrounds
History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
