Position Summary:
As a night shift Bottling Worker the incumbent will be responsible for the safe and proper operation of automated equipment for the purpose of packaging quality finished product, including line quality audits, paperwork and minor maintenance preventative actions on the equipment.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for work station, bringing materials to production line, removing product and raw materials as directed by operator or lead person.
• Operate all bottling line equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and quality control standards
• Maintain accurate supply inventories
• Perform maintenance and sanitation on all bottling line equipment
• Operate equipment with a commitment to product quality and production efficiency
Non-Essential Functions:
• Other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
• Work 12-hour night shifts temperature controlled environment, 55 degrees.
Physical Requirements:
• Lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly for up to 4 hours or carry up to 60 lbs intermittently.
• Standing or sitting for long periods of time - up to a full shift.
• Twisting
• Lot of time spent looking down
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete for extended periods of time
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend at waist, push, pull, drag, and climb stairs repeatedly
• Ability to work shift work
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• One year previous experience in a production environment is desirable.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently.
• Must be available to work variable (12) hour shift schedules.
• Requires some knowledge or experience in the general maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Forklift certification preferred..
• Able to work within a diverse workforce to meet daily and weekly production targets. Strong trouble shooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Ability to be cross trained to safely operate various machines on the bottling line(s) and perform adjustments on those machines.
• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
