Cellar Lead (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Peachy Canyon Winery has been a family owned and operated winery since 1988. We are located in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, on the west side of Paso Robles, California. Peachy Canyon is seeking a few highly motivated, detail-oriented, hard-working individual to join our production team. Under the supervision of the winemaking team, the Cellar Lead’s duties include all cellar activities, warehouse management, bottling supervising, and also not limited to:

Warehouse Management:
- All receiving, restocking, picking, shipping, inventory accuracy, safety and security.
- Loading/Unloading all trucks for deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles, recommending improvements.
- Maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts, reconciling variances, inputting data
- Write out and keep track of all Bill of Ladings
Cellar Activities:
- Proper set-up, usage, and breakdown of all equipment
- Cleaning and sanitation of equipment, instruments, vessels, and facility.
- Fruit receiving, sorting, and processing
- Fermentation and cap management: pump-overs, punch-downs, sampling, data recording, and additions
- Post-ferment drains, digging tanks, and loading and operation of press
- Barrel work: sanitizing, filling, topping, racking, treating, and maintenance
- Finished wine additions, if necessary
- Forklift operation as necessary, training and certification will be provided
Bottling Supervising:
-Supervise and run bottling
-Maintain dry goods inventory
-Work with winemaking to ensure quality control

Qualifications and Experience:
- 2+ years of winery experience desired
- Must be punctual, consistent, and be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary 
- Must be honest, hard-working, and reliable with great attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, stand for extended periods of time, and climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to communicate and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong organizational, problem-solving(troubleshooting), and analytical skills
- Ability to efficiently complete tasks and manage workflow
