Description:

This is an entry level position in which a qualified individual will work directly with the winemaker in an administrative role, will conduct seasonal vineyard evaluations, as well as assist with day to day operations as needed.

 

Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

Administrative –

•             Monitoring of winemaker’s emails

•             Scheduling of winemaker’s calendar

•             Prioritize winemaker’s schedule

•             Perpetuate an organized working environment for the winemaker

Vineyard –

•             Assess vineyards per an evaluation system

•             Collect and record harvest information

 

Qualifications:

•             B.S. degree in Viticulture, related field, or equivalent experience

•             Above average proficiency in computer tasks (calendars, word, excel, etc)

•             Strong knowledge of vineyard growing techniques, activities, and procedures

•             Possesses exceptional organization, relationship building, and communicative skills

•             Aptitude to learn quickly, be self starting, and knack for thinking on one’s feet

•             Is tremendously detailed and productive

•             Understanding of winery operations is a huge plus

•             Physically able to work in varied environments

•             Valid California Drivers License and clean driving record required
