SUMMARY: The Food and Beverage Director is responsible for all aspects of operations at the Restaurant & Winery, to day-to-day staff management and guest management. He / She should be an ambassador for the brand and the Company. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. 

The Food and Beverage Director would also be required to manage between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. 
• Responsible for forecasting labor cost for the Restaurant and Winery
• Provides comprehensive leadership to the location's team with emphasis on operations, food and service quality, people development, hospitality, cleanliness and sales/profitability.
• Develops and executes a strategic plan to ensure all profit and financial targets are met.
• Regularly inspects all front- and back-of-the-house service areas and equipment to assure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards for the department are met
• Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere with in the department and ensure that employees are appropriately trained and have an adequate workload.
• Constant inspection and evaluation of dining rooms, food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas. Responsible to ensure restaurants appearance meeting and exceeding standards as well as maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas and public spaces
• Assumes Closing Manager and/or Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities when assigned
• Conducts after-event evaluations to improve quality and efficiency of banquet functions
• Ensures that all appropriate charges are billed correctly to each event and forwarded to the accounting department for billing

Experience: 

• Minimum 5+ years Food and Beverage Director experience 
• Minimum 5+ years supervisory experience 
• Minimum 5+ years fine dining experience
• Excellent knowledge of computer applications and POS system

Knowledge / Technical Skills / Customer Service Skills: 
• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and sound business ethics
• Great oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Exceptional Team building capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations.
• Familiar with touch screen POS systems including backend reports.
• Well versed in Inventory management and troubleshooting 
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and some holidays.
• Proven success of building and cultivating strong positive working relationships
• Must be effective at listening, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by guests
• This is a "hands on" position. Must be able to assist the staff with set up, service of event, execution of meals, seating, clearing, running of food, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high efficiency.
• Ability to coach and counsel staff members in a positive, results driven manner.
